- What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is Hebrew for Contact Combat. It is the Israeli self defense system taught in Israel to the military and to various military and law enforcement units around the world.
- What are classes like?
Classes are split into levels. Everyone starts at level 1 - no induction needed. Each class consists of a warming up session, combative drill session and then specific defenses against guns, knives, holds, chokes etc.
- Do I need to have previous martial arts experience?
No.
Krav Maga uses intuitive easy to learn defenses that rely on the body's natural response to certain threats. Hence, no previous martial arts experience is needed at all.
- Do I need to be in good physical shape?
No. Krav Maga was built for young and old alike. You do not need to be in good physical shape to start Krav Maga. You will find that as you train you will shape up, shed some pounds and gain great cardio stamina.
- Can I try Krav Maga first?
Yes. We offer a free first lesson so you can try Krav Maga first hand. Simply print this coupon and bring it with you to any level 1+2 class (see our class schedule here)
- How much are lessons?
You can pay for lessons in may different ways - depending on how regularly you plan on attending class. We offer a single lesson fee, a punchcard allowing you to buy multiple discounted lessons, or our monthly unlimited membership allowing you to attend unlimited lessons (our most popular option). We carry discounts for law enforcement and military personnel. We invite you to come to a free lesson to try it out for yourself. Once you are there, you can pick up the most recent price list and see if you are eligible for LEO/Military discount.
